Sometimes everything comes together perfectly. You can plan, you can hope, you can pray. But occasionally, you get just a little luck too. One morning, East of Amarillo, I was chasing a sunrise. Everything in the sky was perfect. I took many of my favorite pictures that morning, just looking for something to feature under the beautiful sky. I am a sucker for a windmill and composed this shot to take advantage of the angle of it with the sky. Only after I got home and started working through the pictures, did I see the bird on top of the windmill. Lucky me.
